That Kid Training
That Kid Training is a workshop for parents and anyone else who works with children. It comes highly recommended by one of our board members. Can you invite someone to come? Please do. This is open to the community. It starts at 10am and we will break for lunch and it will conclude at 1:30pm. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP so that we can get a good count for lunch.
The goals of the training are to:
- Help people understand trauma and the impact it has on people’s lives.
- Help people feel more knowledgeable and equipped to deal with the complex realities that they may encounter when ministering to those who have experienced trauma.
- Give practical skills to ministry staff and volunteers.
- Bring Glory to God as everything is done from a Biblical perspective.

Field Trip to Big Cat Habitat
Permission slips are going home for the field trip on the 20th to Big Cat Habitat. Students must earn the privilege to go on this trip. Teachers have set expectations and students have been told those expectations. Many are working hard to be able to go on the trip. Several staff members will be staying at school for those who did not meet the expectations. The field trip is FREE.
All Field Trips for 24-25 school year will be earned by the student.
Reminder Alert!!
Students need to bring cold lunches to school. Microwaves are not available to students. If your child would like a hot lunch, there are some cool heated lunchboxes on Amazon that just require plugging them in in the morning.
Opened Another Classroom
We are in week four of the school year. And lots of things are happening. Ms. Yanira Diaz Lopez started as a teacher aide for the MS/HS classroom and was promoted this week. We opened a classroom and she is the teacher for middle school students in grades 6-8. We hired Ms. Kathy Kirchner and she is the new teacher aide for the MS/HS classroom.
